A graduate of Xavier University of Louisiana College of Pharmacy with a Doctorate of Pharmacy degree, Dr. Tennille is also a Certified Diabetes Educator and practices as a consultant pharmacist who specializes medication therapy for preventative health, chronic disease management, and improving health outcomes for her patients.
Born and raised minutes outside of New Orleans, LA she naturally developed a love of the city’s rich cocktail culture and evolved from a self-taught home bartender to a certified mixologist and Executive Bourbon Steward. Dr. Tennille helps busy women harness the power of happy hour as a tool for self-care through her cocktail classes and signature events that teach women to create custom apothecary cocktails while celebrating life’s wins and pressing through tough times.
Dr. Tennille’s passion for helping women connect and heal was forged by her own need for healing after suffering tragic losses in 2003 and 2004 and fighting her way back to happy through the power of what she calls her “3 C’s”: Christ, her crew, and cocktails.
Dr. Tennille is the only known pharmacist in the United States who is also a certified mixologist and a Stave and Thief Executive Bourbon Steward. Dr. Tennille serves as a board member of the Dew Drop Jazz and Social Hall, oldest surviving rural jazz dance hall in the world and is also a member of the Krewe of Eve, a Mardi Gras parade Krewe whose members participate in various community outreach projects. On Sundays, you can find Dr. Tennille serving as Director of Hospitality at Covenant Church in Covington, Louisiana or teaching her Sunday school class of 5th and 6th graders.
Dr. Tennille has had a lifelong love and a gift for throwing a great party, and as a result has found a second career as a Medical Mixologist through her Apothecary Cocktail Consulting and Bartending services and White Coat Cocktails Events. She is also preparing to launch her White Coat Bartending Academy.
